WRITER. PRODUCER. STORYTELLER.
Dreux Dougall is a drama and sci-fi screenwriter and creative producer, originally from Silver Spring, Maryland. As a Guyanese-American, she brings a distinct cultural lens and an early love of fantasy, romance, and mystery to everything she creates.
Her passion for storytelling led her to television writing, and shortly after moving to Los Angeles, her pilot In Pursuit was named a quarter-finalist in the Fresh Voices Screenwriting Competition—an early recognition of her unique narrative voice.
Since then, Dreux has built a career at the intersection of scripted television, podcasts, and unscripted storytelling. She has worked in a range of writers' rooms, including HBO’s Lovecraft Country, Netflix’s multi-cam comedy, The Upshaws, and Apple TV+’s animated musical series Central Park. Behind the scenes, she’s honed her skills in writers’ room operations, story development, and continuity across episodes.
Her scripted experience seamlessly translates to the audio space. She worked as a writer for Spotify’s narrative podcasts Conspiracy Theories and Unexplained Mysteries, and currently crafts chilling true crime episodes for the YouTube series Sinister. While her short horror story, The Soul Extractors, was produced by the Something Scary podcast, further demonstrating her range in genre storytelling.
As Head Writer and Producer for One X Studios’ More Than That with Gia Peppers, she led the show’s editorial voice across multiple seasons, celebrating Black voices and cultural insight through thoughtful, branded storytelling.
In unscripted television, Dreux has written and produced for OWN Network’s Belle Collective and Love & Marriage: Huntsville Reunion Specials, and PBS’s GOSPEL Live Special with Henry Louis Gates Jr.
Her ability to weave emotionally resonant, socially conscious narratives has made her a trusted voice across platforms — from live specials to podcasting and branded digital content.
Dreux is a winner of the Writers Assistant Network (WAN) Writers’ Workshop, and the Showrunner Academy Intensive with Collective 5 Entertainment.
